Eugene Owen (Jack) Jones

Eugene Owen (Jack) Jones was born Nov.7,1931 in Chariton, Iowa to Arthur and Ruth Jones and departed this life June 25, 2007 at Mayo Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota of complications from heart surgery.

Pastor Jones was a graduate of Nazarene Theological Seminary and pastored Church of the Nazarene Churches until 1972 when he founded Crusaders Church of America. He also founded Kingswood School and Christ Theological Seminary and was founding editor of the Church's monthly publication Faith in the Future.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Camillia; two sons, Richard M. pastor of Faith Community Church of St. Louis. Missouri and Dr. Marsh W., senior pastor of the Crusaders Church in Urbana, Illinois. One brother and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at The Crusaders Church in Urbana, Illinois. Richard Jones; Dr. Marsh Jones; Dennis Skinner; Steve Durst; Tom Myers and Andrew Durst officiating. Dr. Marsh Jones has been named the new bishop of Crusaders Church of America. Both Jack and Marsh have contributed to The Arminian Magazine.
